PIANO INSTRUCTOR
Position Title: Piano Instructor
Pay: $29/hour

Teach kids, teens, and adult.

Teach beginner through advanced
players.

Can play and teach piano and keyboard.

Can transcribe music be ear.
-
Can teach by ear and with sheet music.

Can clearly teach theory concepts.
-
Is a proficient teacher and performer
in at least 3 of these categories: Pop, jazz, blues, rock,
indie, musicals, stride, or classical.

Has a teaching background and comes
prepared to teach each student individually.

Can set up a teaching plan with goals
and outline that with students.

Punctual for lessons.

Can commit to consistent teaching
schedule.

Can communicate well with our front
desk about scheduling.
Qualifications:
Swallow Hill is seeking a piano instructor for our private
lessons department. Qualified instructors should have a college
degree or higher related to music teaching, lesson planning,
pedagogy, or performance. Candidates will need to be
professional, excellent communicators and teachers, and able to
teach a diversity of students. Also candidates should be able to
keep a consistent teaching schedule and work well with the
scheduling staff.

Swallow Hill is celebrating its 31st year of music education
in Denver and is the second largest roots school in the country.
Our student body is diverse and spans from kids, teens, and
adults. We are not a conservatory but music school of the
people. Our students are seeking to connect with music and feel
empower to play and share their music with others. Swallow
